Prayers for the month of September: Pray for our Teachers & Students.
BONUS PRAYERS FOR AUGUST- Please pray for the city of Beirut, the capitol of Lebanon. There was a large explosion on August 4, 2020. Pray for God's hand of protection on the survivors and for the city and nation as they reel from this loss... especially in light of a health pandemic and economic stress that was already pressing in on the people. There was a reported, "171 deaths, 6,000 injuries, $10–15 billion (US) in property damage, and left an estimated 300,000 people homeless." Pray that people would seek the Lord and find him in their time of need. Many organizations are going in to help. You can pray for workers or give money to those who are trying to help: World Vision, Save the Children, the Red Cross, and 13 Organizations That Need Your Help to Feed Explosion Victims in Beirut.
For the month of August, let's think about what we are thankful for and pray about it! If you need ideas of what to pray for, try this "List of Things to Pray For".
"Dear Lord, Thank you for the many ways you answer our prayers and give us hope. Thank you for the ways you bless us with our family and others who love and care for us. Thank you for the ways you take care of us. We will strive to REJOICE, PRAY, & GIVE THANKS IN EVERYTHING! Amen."

Allow him to comprehend that the only way he will be saved for all eternity from the punishment for his sins will be by trusting the name and redeeming work of Jesus Christ. In Your Holy Name, Amen."
What is on your heart to pray for? Did you know that the Bible says if we pray, God will hear us? He also helps us keep our promises to Him through our prayers. Take some time to talk to God about things you want to promise Him. Ask Him to help you love and obey Him.
Pray for our fathers. "Thank you, Lord, for our fathers and the men in our life who show us your love. Help them as they work, serve others, love their families, and do what you call them to do with the clothing of 'compassion, kindness, humility, and gentleness.'" (6/19/20)
In response to the heartbreaking struggles with racism that continues to rear its ugly head, please be in prayer. (6/5/20) Use the word COURAGE as a guide: C is for COMPASSION. O is for OTHERS. U is for UNDERSTANDING. R is for RESOLUTE. A is for ACTION. G is for GRIT. E is for ENCOURAGEMENT.

- Lord, may our eyes be open to the hurt and pain all around us. Give us a heart of COMPASSION like you, for you are compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
- Help us to look not only to our own interests but also to the interests of OTHERS who are silently hurting.
- Give us a heart of UNDERSTANDING even towards things we have never experienced.
- Help us to see people as you do and ACT on what you are calling us to do.
- And, even as we face discouragement or disagreement from others around us that we love and care for, help us to be RESOLUTE in fixing our eyes on you, walking forward in faith to what you are calling us to do. Give us the opportunity and desire to act on behalf of those who feel downtrodden, broken, and unseen.
- Give us the GRIT, like Queen Esther, to step forward in a time of uncertainty, to boldly pray, boldly speak, boldly act, and boldly hope for burdens of injustice to be lifted.
- Give us a spirit of ENCOURAGEMENT to those who are weary in doing good. Help us not to look the other way, but to step forward and be the hands that lift the hands of those who are tired.
